The Green Barn Steakhouse, or “The Barn” as locals refer to it, has been a Red Bluff tradition since 1959 when Jack Stieb remodeled a roadhouse and began serving the original steak sandwich. The original restaurant burned in 1989 and was rebuilt with a new look, and reopened in 1990. The Barn today retains the atmosphere of another time when whiskey overs and old fashions were the trendy cocktails and good service was valued as much as a good meal. In 2000, Paulette Hendricks, a Red Bluff native, bought the Barn from Mary Stieb. Our steaks are all aged, choice and are handcut by R&R Meats of Redding, CA. We endeavor to serve fresh, wholesome food that tastes great and is full of flavor. The Barn still makes our signature salad dressings and desserts, and the original steak sandwich is still our top seller. Paulette and her family invite you to come in and experience what we have to offer!
